Agility Creates Bespoke “Wow” Incentive Experience
A client in the manufacturing industry planned a regional travel incentive for its customers as part of a more significant global competition for “Auto Technician of the Year.” Held annually, this week-long event would be designed specifically for attendees who were not just automotive technicians by trade but were also motor enthusiasts.
Activities were thoughtfully selected to include a variety of auto-themed experiences, such as outings to historic homes of auto industry pioneers, exploring auto museums, and touring an automaker factory. The climax of the weeklong excursion was a motorsport adventure, including an opportunity to participate in motor racing. Attendees were not only able to look under the hood and provided with training from actual auto racers but also given a turn behind the wheel.
As the day continued, our client noticed that the attendees were enjoying themselves so much that a change in dinner plans was requested. With less than a two-hour notice, the Gavel International team was able to cancel dinner reservations, negotiate a significantly lower cancellation rate, and make arrangements for onsite food delivery. As a result, our client provided its attendees with an extended thrill-seeking and spontaneous hands-on experience.
Attendees rode one-on-one as passengers with racers during an actual high-speed practice session. This was followed by an impromptu evening showcase of luxury cars where owners exhibited their beautiful and rare automobiles. Technician attendees were left with more than just a memorable experience. They will recall this group incentive travel as a “WOW” moment for years to come.
